BUYING GUIDE
More than meets the eye...
It’s decision time. Is new eyewear in your future? If so, make the right choice—the first time. To ensure that you are completely satisfied with your new eyeglasses, our knowledgeable staff can help you with these questions and more:
- How do I choose the perfect frame?
- How will I know when the fit is right?
- Which lenses are best for me?
- Is there a difference in inexpensive frames vs. quality designer frames?
- What kind of manufacturer's warranty do you offer?
- Do you provide free adjustments?
- What's the difference in Crizal lenses vs. dipped A.R. coated lenses?
- What's the difference in Varilux vs. other progressive lenses?
- Does your staff handle customers with hard-to-fit faces?
- Can you help with my child's new eyeglasses?
As you shop for frames, think ahead. Your frames should fit your lifestyle as well as your prescription lenses. Will your frames meet all your needs—work, formal, driving, sports? Frames need to be functional but not necessarily “one-style-fits-all.” As you can see, there are many choices to make. What are your options? Ask questions.
To be truly satisfied with your new frames, they should rest comfortably on your nose and ears. They should not move about when you nod or turn your head. In actuality, the perfect frame is an almost-forgotten frame because it wears so well. You should also pay close attention to selecting a frame that accents and enhances your best facial features. Always seek styling advice to help ensure you look your best.
Whatever your lifestyle, remember that high-quality frames resist breakage and hold adjustment longer, thus increasing your comfort and limiting your inconvenience. The old saying still firmly applies, “You get what you pay for.”
So many choices…
Lens choices for your new frames have changed tremendously over the past few years. You now have lens options that compliment your frame choices.
HIGH INDEX lenses are made of a miraculous thermoplastic material that can be crafted into a lens that is thinner and lighter than the lenses you have been used to.
SCRATCH-RESISTANT COATING is a quartz coating applied to the front and back surface of a plastic lens. This protects the lens and helps eliminate those distracting scratch marks.
UV-400 protection is a filter that absorbs into the lens and eliminates the transmission of harmful ultraviolet (UV) radiation. This dangerous radiation is emitted from the sun, computer terminals, fluorescent lighting, etc.
ANTI-REFLECTIVE LENSES will eliminate distracting reflections caused by headlights during night driving, from television and computer screens or other light sources.
CUSTOM TINTS are available for your lenses. These tints can transform your eyeglasses into sunglasses or add a splash of color to enhance your appearance.

CHILDREN'S EYEWEAR
The most important issues in choosing eyewear specifically for children are safety, durability, comfort and cost. Children are excited with their improved vision, but they must be comfortable in their new eyewear or they may not want to wear their glasses. Our selection of children's eyewear is the largest in the East Texas area and our trained staff enjoys the challenges of working with the youngest of our customers.
